Ray McNamara
Percussionist - Educator - Sound Designer
| Ray McNamara received his M.F.A. in World Music and Percussion from California Institute of the Arts in 1985. He has played on film scores, records, television, commercials, and various stages. He is currently performing with The Calypso Pirates, Damaru, Big Bamboo, Leo Trio, as well as some other independent projects. Ray is the Director of Music for The Dance Department at UCR and the Director of the Steel Band Program at Fullerton College which he started in 1991. He also facilitates various “In The Moment” Drumming Events at different venues.
